BaseStone Wins FinancesOnline 2016 Customer Support Awards

Who said Christmas can’t come early? At BaseStone we certainly do not believe that is true and our latest news proves it. After writing a very positive BaseStone review on their site, the good folks at FinancesOnline have let us know that we have won not one, but two of their annual 2016 Great User Experience and 2016 Rising Star awards for their construction management software category.

To say we are delighted is an understatement and it is very humbling to see that one of our core values as a company being the best possible user experience is being recognised. It is a great way to finish off 2016 and awards are always a lovely validation of all the hard work our entire team put in to make BaseStone the best Digital Delivery Platform in the industry.

The “Great User Experience Certificate” is granted to products that offer especially good user experience. FinancesOnline have evaluated how easy it is to start using BaseStone and how well-designed its interface and features are to facilitate the work process. It is something our developer team are very proud of.

The “Rising Star Award” award is given to new SaaS products that recently appeared on the market and is gaining International recognition, are already getting good traction with the customers and are viewed as a service that’s really efficient despite our young age.

These two latest awards wraps up 2016 wonderfully after already being “Highly Commended at the BCI Awards” and “Winner of Technology and Innovation Award” at CETI. These awards only excite us further as 2017 will be a big year for BaseStone.

We would like to thank all our customers, users and supporters and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here’s a cheers to 2017.

BaseStone participate in CIOB programme “Masterminds of Construction

The holiday season is almost here and at BaseStone HQ, we wanted to give you a little pre-Christmas treat. We were recently asked to participate in a programme by The Chartered Institute of Building in partnership with ITN Productions which is ITN’s bespoke production hub titled “Masterminds of Construction”.

The production is a news and current-affairs style programme, introduced by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky, to showcase how transformative and demanding construction management is, and how the ‘Masterminds of Construction’ overcome risks from unforeseen events and deliver world-class projects.

We were delighted to contribute our thoughts on the industry and how digitising on-site workflows are key to improved efficiency and cost saving. The programme features key industry interviews and news-style reports along with sponsored editorial profiles.

Participants included our own CEO Alex Siljanovski and CTO Dr Simon McCabe, Director of Innovation at Costain Tim Embley and engineers from Costain and Skanska. See below our section in the programme and please share with your friends and colleagues.

Why is digital important in construction?

Why is digital in construction important? Digital Construction Week

Digital in Construction - BaseStone

We recently exhibited at the excellent Digital Construction Week for their annual conference in the Business Design Centre in Angel. It was great to meet with so many of our users and engage with so many of the forward thinking people that are driving the construction industry forward in embracing new technologies.

Digital has become an integral part of construction, not only in the office, but on-site as well. By bringing digital on-site, the engineers are now better connected to the information that matters, improving productivity and delivering their projects faster, safer, and to a higher standard of quality.

During our time at Digital Construction Week, we asked some of the attendees the following question:

”What is the importance of embracing digital within construction, and how can it revolutionize an industry?”

Hear some of the responses we received in the video below:
